I had to calm one of the medical students down the other day. We were in a crowded elevator, and he was carrying on the conversation we’d started before getting on, about what he’d liked about the surgery rotation so far.
“I got to see a craniotomy the other night on call,” he exclaimed. “They let me touch the brain! It was kind of squishy.”
In the middle of the elevator. Full of visitors.

Lucky Kid, I must have missed “Touch the Brain” day. Living Brains that is, still happily encased in a Skull.
“Squishy”?? sounds more like an OB/GYN rotation.
Did give someone their Chlamydia results in a crowded Elevator…embarassing

I got to touch a brain once too! Dead though. I live near a highly successful brain bank. They have an average retrieval time of 15 minutes! That’s gourmet brains for the zombie connoisseur.
